10/8/20 VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING CHANGE OF DATE
Dear Parents,
We hope you are well. We are very much looking forward to meeting all of our new Junior Infants very soon. We would like to draw your attention to an important change of date and times for your calendar in relation to your child’s first days in St. Francis Xavier Junior National School. These changes have been made as part of our Covid Response Plan for the safe reopening of the school.
The schedule for Junior Infants is now as follows:
- Friday 28th August 2020 at 10am – 11.30 am.
- Monday 31st August to Friday 4th September all Junior Infants will attend school from 9.00am – 12noon.
- From Monday 7th September, the children in Junior Infants will attend for the full school day.
One parent ONLY may accompany the child for his/her first day at school. Uniforms are to be worn as normal. The children’s name badges will be laid out on tables outside your designated classroom door. We sincerely regret that this year parents will be unable to accompany their child into the classroom. Please be assured that we will provide experienced Support Teachers to help with this transition on the day. We will also contact you soon regarding Induction and information meetings for new parents in the month of September 2020.
Finally, we can confirm that extensive cleaning and sanitizing processes are in place in our school and the utmost care will be taken to ensure the safety of all students.
