Parents of both the Junior and Senior School are welcome to attend as the Parents Association works on behalf of both schools.

ST. FRANCIS XAVIERS PARENT’S ASSOCIATION (PA ) would like to wish the Senior School a very HAPPY 40^th BIRTHDAY.

Some of us on the PA actually attended the school when it opened and now our children are being educated here too. In fact some of our members even had parents who were PA members over 25 years ago.

The PA represents the parents and guardians of the children who attend the Junior and Senior schools in St Francis Xavier. We organise memorable events to help create a great school environment and enhance your child’s educational experience.  We are made up of volunteers elected by the Parents at our annual AGM .

There is one parents association for both the Junior and Senior Schools. We work closely with the school Principals and liaise with both the Senior and Junior School Boards of Management to understand where we can provide assistance.  Information about our fundraising activities and where the money is spent is provided at our annual AGM in September and can also be found on our website.

The St Francis Xavier National School Parent’s Association enables the school and your children to benefit from:

• Buses for Sports Events, Theatrical Events, Cyber Bullying Workshops, Parents Information Evenings, and much more including;
  • Our Annual Christmas Fair
  • School Fun/Run Day
  • Communion Party
  • 6th Class Disco
  • Graduation Tea/Coffees
  • Junior Infants Parents Coffee Morning

This year our Annual Sponsored Walk/Fun Run took place on Sunday 28^th May.

Children from both schools took part with the older children jogging and the smaller children and parents/families walking behind.  Teachers in the Senior School have been gradually running 10km with their classes over the past few weeks.  This was the grand finale of their running pursuits.

Our fun day included games, sports and face painting in the grounds of the school and thankfully, the weather kept us dry and warm !

Each child has a Sponsorship Card which should be returned to the school now. All cards by the end of this week will be put into a hat and a winner from each school will receive a prize. Thanks to everyone who brought monies on the day and to those who will be dropping it to the school this week.  All funds collected will go towards provision of much needed equipment and resources for the school.

We had a stall selling pre-loved uniforms – our children are growing fast and a spare shirt/tie/jumper is very handy to have.

Thanks again for your continued support and generous donations. They help our children, our school and our community. We’ve added a few photos of the day – see if you can spot someone you know !

As with all our events, assistance was required with marshalling the fun run, helping with face painting and supervising games. We would like to thank everyone who was involved and to remind you that we always need more help.

From start to finish, we had a fabulous time. The dedication of the volunteers and the attendance of parents, teachers and the community made the St Francis Xavier’s Christmas fair a great success. Thank you so much for your commitment of time and energy to this important event in our school year

Your involvement, commitment and encouragement makes the school a better place to be. Every single donation we received for our Annual Christmas Fair was so gratefully accepted. Your donations helped to make the day a huge success .

We were equally lucky to have many local businesses make donations to our Fair.  As you might already know, part of the fundraising for our school is sponsorship from local businesses.
